MustardVector is XO Defense's compact semantic translation layer that bridges heterogeneous networks with high-fidelity message integrity across incompatible transport boundaries. MustardVector maintains semantic integrity — the meaning of the message — across these boundaries, ensuring that a command or position report retains its full operational meaning whether transmitted over satellite, cellular, SMS, acoustic, or LoRa transport.

MustardVector works in conjunction with Herald's semantic encoding to provide cross-network message integrity. When a Mustard Envelope must traverse a transport boundary (e.g., satellite to cellular to acoustic), MustardVector handles the semantic translation, ensuring the message is re-encoded correctly for the destination transport while preserving its operational meaning. This is essential for coalition interoperability, where allied forces may use different communication infrastructure but need to exchange tactical data with guaranteed fidelity.
