Marine Safety EAR99
Marine Safety is XO Defense's offshore risk assessment module with marine weather integration. It provides dynamic crossing analysis for maritime operational planning, combining real-time and forecast weather data (wind, wave height, swell period, visibility, precipitation) with vessel characteristics and route parameters to assess transit risk. The module supports go/no-go decision-making for maritime operations, with configurable risk thresholds based on vessel type, crew capability, and mission priority.
How XO Defense Addresses This
Marine Safety provides the environmental intelligence layer for XO Defense maritime operations. Its risk assessments integrate with MustardTree's transport selection (adverse weather may degrade satellite link quality) and P139's emergency threshold calibration (higher sea states may trigger more aggressive dead-man settings). Weather data is compressed using Herald's semantic encoding and transmitted as Mustard Envelopes, enabling offshore assets to receive weather updates over satellite burst even in the most bandwidth-constrained conditions. EAR99 classification enables deployment for commercial maritime, fishing fleet safety, and international humanitarian maritime operations.
